A medical emergency forced Dennis to seek care at TriStar Horizon's emergency room - an event he credits with reshaping his view of the quality of care available in his community.

When Dennis moved to the Dickson community seven years ago, he assumed he would need to travel to Nashville for healthcare. That changed recently when he faced a medical emergency. His primary care physician directed him to TriStar Horizon's Emergency Room — a decision that completely reshaped his view of the care available right here at home.

Dennis shared that every nurse, physician, and caregiver has been "top notch."

"From the ER to the operating room and inpatient unit, all of the staff members have treated me like family. We have a treasure in Horizon right here in our community."

He has been impressed by the seamless communication among his care team — even during shift changes — and the consistent attentiveness he receives day and night. That continuity has given him confidence in the care he is receiving.

Caring for the community we love is a privilege. Stories like Dennis' remind us of the trust our patients place in us — trust we never take lightly. Our team will continue to walk alongside Dennis throughout his healing journey, cheering him on every step of the way.
