Cindy Bergmeier appointed chief executive officer at TriStar Summit Medical Center

HCA Healthcare executive Cindy Bergmeier is now the CEO at TriStar Summit Medical Center.

Hermitage, Tenn. — TriStar Summit Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is pleased to announce Cindy Bergmeier as its new chief executive officer. A 15-year HCA Healthcare veteran, Bergmeier previously served as chief executive officer at TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson.

“Cindy is a dedicated healthcare executive who leads with compassion, kindness and a patient-first mindset,” said Mitch Edgeworth, president of the HCA Healthcare TriStar Division. “Her commitment to the HCA Healthcare mission is evident in her authentic approach and tireless advocacy for patients and the community. Cindy has spearheaded numerous initiatives that have significantly improved patient care in her previous hospitals. As Hermitage, Mt. Juliet, and the surrounding communities experience tremendous growth, Cindy's leadership at TriStar Summit will ensure that the needs of these communities are met with excellence and innovation.”

Bergmeier's previous experience within HCA Healthcare includes serving as chief operating officer of Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas, and chief operating officer at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana. She also served as associate chief operating officer at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.

Bergmeier received a Master of Business Administration in health administration from University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas.
