TriStar Summit Medical Center welcomes Angela Shehan as assistant chief nursing officer

Hermitage, Tenn. — TriStar Summit Medical Center is proud to welcome Angela Shehan, BSN, RN, as assistant chief nursing officer. In this role, Angela will join the hospital’s senior leadership team to support the hospital’s strategic nursing initiatives and further elevate patient care across all inpatient departments.

“After serving TriStar Greenview for the past 22 years, we are excited to welcome Angela as our new assistant chief nursing officer,” said Bri O’Neill, chief nursing officer at TriStar Summit Medical Center. “Throughout her nursing career, Angela has demonstrated exceptional leadership across a range of nursing specialties, including medical surgical services, surgical services, critical care and emergency services. Her diverse background and commitment to delivering high-quality care will be an invaluable asset to our team as we continue to provide outstanding patient care.”

Angela joined TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky, more than two decades ago as a registered nurse in the Orthopaedic Unit. Since then, she has served in successive leadership roles as a clinical coordinator, manager and director of multiple units and departments across the hospital.

A native of Bowling Green, Angela earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. Angela is currently attending Galen School of Nursing and expects to earn her Masters in Nursing by October 2026.
