TriStar Health announces four hospitals recognized as "America's Best Hospitals"
Four hospitals recognized for superior performance in providing care for conditions and procedures across multiple specialty lines and areas.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – TriStar Health is pleased to announce that four of its hospitals were recognized on the 2024 Healthgrades America’s 250 Best Hospitals list for superior performance in providing care for conditions and procedures across multiple specialty lines and areas. Using a methodology focused solely on patient outcomes, this award recognizes the top 5% of hospitals in the country for clinical excellence.
“TriStar Health colleagues are dedicated to delivering superior, high-quality patient care every day,” said Dr. Tama Van Decar, chief medical officer for TriStar Health. “This achievement underscores our commitment to continuous improvement and ensuring our communities have access to quality care close to home.”
Independent, publicly available data is used to determine a hospital’s eligibility for the list. According to Healthgrades, a hospital must have evaluations in at least 21 of the 31 Healthgrades procedures and conditions using Medicare inpatient data from the Medicare Provider Analysis and Review (MedPAR) file from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to be considered for this award. Hospitals are then ranked based on an analysis of risk-adjusted mortality and complications rates for common procedures and conditions.
The four TriStar Health hospitals recognized as America’s 250 Best Hospitals are:
- TriStar Centennial Medical Center
- TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center
- TriStar Skyline Medical Center
- TriStar Summit Medical Center
