During your stay
We want you and your child to be as comfortable as possible during your time with us. Knowing your child's family members and expected visitors helps ensure your child's security. We encourage questions so you'll better understand your child's care.
We are committed to providing the very best care for your child and family during your stay.
Your child's medical team consists of highly trained doctors, nurses and other individuals who treat children and teenagers. However, you are an essential part of your child's healthcare team. You know your child best, and your input is important to us.
Please share this information with us to plan what is best for your child. We will partner with you to make the best decisions about your child's care.
You have the right to know everyone involved in your child's care and understand what is happening and why. Everything will be explained to you honestly, in ways you can understand. Patients and their families are encouraged to ask questions if and when they arise.
Upon admission, the child's legal guardian must complete a visitation information form listing all approved visitors, including parents. For the safety and security of your child, all visitors, including parents, will be required to show photo identification with each visit.
When the time comes, our case management team assists with arrangements for your child's discharge from the hospital, including any necessary home assistance needs or medical equipment and supplies.
