About Tristar Greenview Regional Hospital
TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is a 211-bed facility serving Southern Kentucky and surrounding areas. Recognized by the Joint Commission as a Top Performer on Key Quality Measures®, TriStar Greenview is a national leader in providing quality healthcare, including emergency care, orthopedics, neurology, surgical services and cardiology care, as Kentucky's first hospital to offer remote patient monitoring for heart failure.
With the many changes and advancements in the medical field and our hospital, one thing remains a top priority — our commitment to patient safety
TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital was one of the first HCA hospitals to implement eMAR, or electronic medication administration record. eMAR is a wireless record-keeping system that documents medications prescribed and administered during your stay in the hospital. We have maintained our standing as a leading orthopedic facility in the region by being one of the first hospitals in Southern Kentucky to utilize a hip and knee arthroplasty table designed exclusively for the anterior approach to hip and knee arthroplasty. Additionally, our orthopedic team uses the anterior approach surgical procedure for minimizing pain and time from surgery to recovery. This technique allows the surgeon to reach the hip joint from the front of the hip as opposed to the lateral (side), or the posterior (back).
People come to our emergency room for all types of conditions, some where time is absolutely of the essence. Patients are always seen in priority order, based on the type and severity of their medical problem. Even if your condition isn't the life-threatening kind, though, we want you to get the care and comfort you need as soon as possible, without an unexpectedly long wait.
To get a better estimate of how long it will take to be seen for a non-life-threatening condition, we have instituted a digital contact program where we will send you an estimated wait time through text message or via our website and special signage.
We use a rolling four-hour average, and that time is updated every 30 minutes. We define the “wait time” as the time between entering the ER and beginning your medical screening examination from one of our qualified medical professionals, whether that be a physician, a physician assistant or a nurse practitioner.
