When William Sharp was taken to the TriStar Greenview Emergency Room struggling to breathe, his wife, Tammie, was understandably worried. William was admitted to the Critical Care Unit where Tammie came to visit often.

“Every time I came to visit William, everyone was so respectful and kept me well informed of his care,” said Tammie.

Just three days later, Tammie found herself feeling poorly. She went to the ER while her husband was still admitted.

“I was so scared now that my wife was sick,” stated William. “I told Dr. Chou all of my concerns, and she made a special trip down to the ER to check on my wife. I am so thankful my doctor listened to me and didn’t dismiss my concerns. She is a wonderful doctor.”

The care team decided that Tammie also needed to be admitted for further care.

“Once the decision was made to admit me, I was informed that my husband was moving to a regular room, and the team had made arrangements for us to have a room together. I began to cry,” said Tammie.

Tammie expressed having such a hard time over the last several days being separated from her husband. She was so thankful to have the opportunity to be together stating that this simple arrangement took so much pressure and stress off of the both of them.

“We are so thankful for everything the hospital staff has done for us,” says William. “I have felt like I am in good hands the whole time I have been here, and this is why I choose to come to TriStar Greenview.”
