At TriStar Skyline, and across our entire HCA Healthcare network, our colleagues are raising the bar each and every day to deliver the best possible healthcare. As an organization, we strive to support our colleagues in unlocking every possibility they can in their careers, driving their healthcare career forward and allowing them to do meaningful work.

Lisa Harris, Director of Clinical Operations at TriStar Skyline Madison Campus, began her career at TriStar Skyline Madison in 2014 as a recreational therapist. As a new mother, Lisa was working on a PRN basis at the time. Lisa quickly fell in love with both the culture and the patients at TriStar Skyline Madison and knew she had found the place she could call home.

Lisa’s passion and purpose for healthcare deepened as her career evolved at TriStar Skyline Madison, and she quickly grew to a part-time and then full-time position in 2016.

In 2017, Lisa was appointed to a supervisor role within the Adjunctive Therapy department. Lisa’s endearing and compassionate personality combined with her love for learning, encouraged her to explore leadership opportunities where she could continue to positively impact her colleagues and patients.

“As I began to gain experience in a leadership role, I was blessed to have invested mentors, who helped me transform into the leader I am today,” Lisa shared. “These leaders encouraged me to go back to school and earn my Master’s Degree in Mental Health, which I completed in April of 2020. In December of 2020, I was promoted to manager of therapeutic services, giving me the opportunity to grow in my leadership role at TriStar Skyline Madison Campus and implement new evidence-based services to our patients, all while leading and developing others within my department.”

Lisa enters the doors at TriStar Skyline Madison Campus each day with a centered focus: our patients. She finds the most rewarding part of her role to be hearing the daily stories of how her hospital has “saved one’s life.” It is this rewarding work that encouraged Lisa to continue her self-development in reaching new heights in her career. In 2022, Lisa was appointed to the Director of Clinical Operations at TriStar Skyline Madison Campus, the role which she currently serves in. In her role, she oversees multiple departments including social work, case management, and adjunctive therapy.

“TriStar Skyline Madison has supported my leadership growth, and created opportunities that I am so grateful to have in my career,” states Lisa.

“Lisa is an example of everything great about the leadership development opportunities available within HCA Healthcare,” shared Jared Roe, chief operating officer at TriStar Skyline Madison Campus. “She’s a person who came into our organization with sharp clinical skills and keen instincts for how to solve problems for our patients. And when you take someone like Lisa who has all the building blocks to become a great leader and you invest in that person with truly world-class leadership development offerings, you end up with a next generation of healthcare leaders — like Lisa — who are positioned to be catalysts for real change both in our facilities and across the industry.”

“It does not feel like ‘work’ when you show up every day to a culture of family,” said Lisa. “I love having the opportunity to help other therapists learn and grow in their careers, and be able to pay it forward by investing in my colleagues who have the desire to become leaders themselves one day.”

By raising the bar higher for ourselves, we are raising the bar for healthcare everywhere, ensuring healthier tomorrows for every patient who enters our doors. Thank you, Lisa, for your dedication to our patients and for caring for all you encounter like family.
