Heart care services and treatments we offer
We are proud to provide you with exceptional cardiology services, including diagnostic screenings, interventional procedures and cardiac rehabilitation programs.
Our Chest Pain Center
Our hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center, as designated by the American College of Cardiology. This means we are able to provide life-saving treatment for heart attacks as quickly as possible. If you are having chest pain or heart attack symptoms when you arrive at our hospital, our teams are prepared to offer you quick and comprehensive care.
Our emergency doctors use a high-sensitivity cardiac troponin test to help detect heart attacks earlier and more precisely than other traditional testing. This test allows our doctors to measure the presence of a heart-specific protein (troponin) much faster than more conventional troponin testing methods. This helps identify (or rule out) heart attacks much earlier, when treatment options are more favorable.
Diagnostic heart screening and imaging
We use a variety of diagnostic and imaging tools to accurately assess heart conditions. Your physician may recommend several noninvasive screening procedures such an echocardiogram or stress test to help identify any potential problems. Those tests may result in additional, more invasive procedures such as a cardiac catheterization (or angiogram) to help diagnose a heart condition. Our specialized team will guide you through the different procedures and works alongside our expert cardiologists to ensure proper diagnosis.
Noninvasive imaging and tests
Our doctors and radiologists offer a range of diagnostic imaging tests, including:
- Doppler ultrasound
- Echocardiograms
- Electrocardiograms (ECGs or EKGs)
- Holter monitoring
- Nuclear studies/stress tests
- Stress electrocardiography
- Stress electrocardiography
- Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
- Tilt tables
- Treadmill testing
Invasive, interventional and electrophysiology cardiovascular procedures
Once a heart condition has been diagnosed, our heart specialists will help you develop an individualized treatment plan. We offer a variety of devices and minimally invasive techniques and procedures, including:
- Cardiac catheterization (angiogram) femoral and radial approach
- Fractional flow analysis
- Intravascular ultrasound
- Cardiac catheterization (angiogram) femoral and radial approach
- Coronary ballooning (PTCA)
- Coronary stenting procedure using radial (arm) approach
- Electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac defibrillator and pacemaker implantation/management
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- OCT- Optical coherence tomography
- Pulmonary Artery Pressure Monitoring
- Temporary ventricular support device
- Thrombectomy
- Insertion of mechanical support devices for critically ill patients with heart attacks or cardiogenic shock.
Angioplasty and stenting
Angioplasty is a general term for a minimally invasive procedure used to clear blocked blood vessels. The most common procedure — balloon angioplasty — involves a catheter with a balloon on the end. The catheter delivers the balloon to the clogged blood vessel, where it is inflated. This reshapes the inside of the artery to allow blood to flow more easily. To prevent these areas from eventually deflating, doctors often use stents (metal coils that spring open) to keep the artery from closing. We do this procedure primarily from the arm (radial approach).
Cardiac rehabilitation and education
After undergoing major heart surgery or other cardiovascular procedures, it is important to make sure your heart properly recovers. Our outpatient cardiac rehabilitation program allows you to exercise under the supervision of a healthcare provider. It also gives you the opportunity to receive counseling services and learn more about how to keep your heart healthy.
