Shannon Davis named vice president of quality at TriStar Hendersonville

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center has hired Shannon Davis as its new vice president of quality and patient safety.

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is pleased to welcome Shannon Davis, RN, DNP as vice president of quality and patient safety. In her role, Davis is responsible for quality, performance improvement, infection control, sepsis prevention, patient safety, accreditation and risk management.

“Shannon’s extensive experience shows that she is committed to upholding the highest standards of quality,” said Justin Coury, chief executive officer of TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. “She leads with a collaborative spirit, evidence-based risk mitigation strategies and a patient-centered approach. I am confident she will be a great addition to the TriStar Hendersonville team.”

Davis joins TriStar Hendersonville after serving as the patient safety director at TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where she led the fall prevention program. In her 25 year career with HCA Healthcare, Davis also held the role of assistant chief nursing officer at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital and director of critical care, respiratory therapy, nursing supervision and patient safety attendants at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. She is a board-certified nurse executive, certified professional in patient safety and certified professional in healthcare quality.

Davis received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin. She earned a Masters of Science in Nursing Leadership from Western Governors University and a Doctor of Nursing in Nursing Leadership from Chamberlain University.
