Clarksville's call for better healthcare

Clarksville is growing — and so is the need for better healthcare options. Stephanie Ferguson, a longtime HCA Healthcare leader and Clarksville resident, believes a new TriStar Health facility could be a transformative addition to the region.

“For years, this community has had to travel to Nashville for complex care,” Stephanie explains. “It’s important that we have a healthcare choice.” A local facility would not only reduce travel time but also bring high-quality services like emergency care, cardiac and stroke treatment, trauma care and women’s health — including NICU services — closer to home.

Stephanie also sees the facility as a way to improve access for underserved populations. “Everyone will have access to care locally, without having to travel so far,” she says, pointing to TriStar Health’s reputation for award-winning, evidence-based care.

The benefits extend to healthcare professionals as well. Stephanie, who has worked in both clinical and leadership roles, sees the new facility as a chance for career growth and better work-life balance. “With TriStar Health being at my back door, I would definitely take advantage of the opportunity,” she says, noting that many local providers currently commute long distances.

Clarksville residents are eager for better healthcare options, and Stephanie is excited about the possibility of serving her community in a modern, state-of-the-art facility. “I like the idea of working at my hometown hospital and taking care of my hometown folks,” she says.
