TriStar Centennial Medical Center names Carolyn Hunter chief operating officer
Nashville, Tenn. — TriStar Centennial Medical Center, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, announced today that Carolyn Hunter has been appointed chief operating officer. Hunter most recently served as chief operating officer at HCA Healthcare Florida Aventura Hospital for the past three years.
“Carolyn is a highly respected operations leader with a strong record of advancing quality and growth,” said Tom Ozburn, chief executive officer of TriStar Centennial Medical Center. “She understands how to support our colleagues and physicians while driving meaningful results for patients. We are excited to welcome her to our leadership team as we continue to focus on improving more lives, in more ways.”
Hunter began her HCA Healthcare career as an administrative fellow in the HCA Healthcare Continental Division in Denver. She has since held multiple leadership roles within the organization, including positions at HCA Healthcare in Nashville, vice president of operations at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, and chief operating officer at Medical City Las Colinas in Irving, Texas.
Hunter earned her Bachelor of Science from Auburn University and holds both a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
