Types of brain cancer we treat

Our experienced, multidisciplinary oncology team treats various cancers of the brain and spine, such as:

  • Arteriovenous malformations
  • Astrocytomas
  • Glioblastomas
  • Meningiomas
  • Metastases
  • Pituitary tumors

Types of neurological cancer treatments we offer

The tailored care plan we build for you depends on the cancer's type, location and size. Our skilled team will assess whether your cancer originates inside or outside of the brain before administering treatment.

Chemoembolization

This minimally invasive method enables us to precisely administer anti-cancer drugs to a tumor. The blood vessels that are directly connected to the tumor are sealed off, keeping the medicine where it's needed most.

Chemotherapy

During chemotherapy, we give you an infusion of drugs that are designed to fight cancer throughout the body. This treatment option involves regular sessions that are dependent upon your diagnosis.

Radiation therapy

Through this targeted approach, our doctors use high-energy beams of radiation to accurately destroy or slow the growth of cancer cells. Similar to chemotherapy, radiation therapy is given in a series of sessions.

Radioembolization

With minimally invasive radioembolization, we implant tiny, radioactive beads by the tumor to consistently deliver low-dose radiation therapy.

Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)

We use RFA, another minimally invasive technique, to treat chronic, severe pain caused by a tumor pressing on a nerve. To conduct this procedure, our oncologists use a very thin, hot needle to damage the nerve to the point that it'll no longer transmit pain signals. This therapy is often far more precise and effective than alternative medications.

Surgery

To remove brain and spine tumors, we might elect to perform surgery using advanced technology. In conjunction with surgical care, we may use other treatments at the same time to maximize their effectiveness.

Additional cancer support services

Across our facilities, our dedicated nurse navigators are proud to connect you and your loved ones to a variety of cancer support groups in your area. They will also stay ready to answer any questions you have.
